About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer. In this role, you will support flight dynamics modeling and simulation, hardware design and analysis, as well as requirements verification. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of flight dynamics, engineering design process, and modeling and simulation. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. Successful applicants will generally possess minimal or junior level related work experience, if any, and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for planning and conducting system performance and simulation analysis.
Knowledge of system design and flight vehicle architectures.
Experience with Git/Gitlab and/or other software configuration management tools.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start.
Must maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance, for long term employment on this program.

Nice To Haves

Familiar with dynamics and engineering testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in hypersonic vehicle design and reentry vehicle systems
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with team members
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
Active DOD Secret security clearance
