About The Position

As a GNC Associate Manager on the THAAD program, you will lead a small and diverse team of engineers in a fast-paced development environment. You will also be a technical contributor supporting team and program goals, with leadership and technical responsibilities split roughly 50/50. The primary area(s) of responsibility are consist of GNC algorithm design with opportunities for image processing, tool development and hardware-facing tasks. Strong candidates will have experience with simulation integration, performance analysis and programming. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, are essential.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership skills including building effective relationships, conflict resolution and empowering teams.
  • Demonstrated team or project leadership skills.
  • Experience with software, simulation and programming tools (ex. Matlab/Simulink, Fortran, C++, Python).
  • Proven experience in the design, integration, qualification, verification, or validation of GNC algorithms for missile applications.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams by leveraging excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize schedules and tasking to accomplish multiple goals in a fixed time period.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain Final Secret clearance.
  • Interim Secret clearance is required prior to start.
  • Must maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program.

  • Knowledge/experience with GN&C control theory and physical modeling related to spacecraft and/or missile systems.
  • Ability to coordinate integration activities across a team that performs missile GN&C design and analysis tasks.
  • Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements.
  • Hardware experience for missile components as well as hardware specification development.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and/or leadership of small teams of junior engineers.
