About The Position

The Guest Service Team Member is responsible for maintaining the dining hall and supporting meal service during the week and/or weekends. Key duties include preparing dining areas, cleaning and sanitizing, washing dishes, organizing the kitchen, assisting with meal preparation, and ensuring all guest and meeting spaces are well cared for. This role works closely with camp staff to provide excellent hospitality and support group needs as required.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the dining room before each meal based on group needs and the Detail Sheet
  • Prepare coffee, restock supplies, and clean the beverage station as needed
  • Be available during meals to answer guest questions and connect them with appropriate staff
  • Assist with meal service and meal preparation as directed
  • Empty trash, recycling, and compost bins and replace liners and coordinate trash removal with maintenance
  • Clean dining hall windows and doors
  • Clean and reset the dining hall after meals by wiping tables and chairs, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Check, restock, and clean public restrooms before and after meals in all required areas
  • Assist with group and camp needs as requested, including program support
  • Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, and pans
  • Keep dishwashing areas clean and organized
  • Sweep the kitchen floor after each meal
  • Sweep and spot mop the dining room floor
  • Mop the kitchen floor at the end of the day
  • Clean and prepare pans, cleaning cloths, and utensils for meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness of outdoor trash and mop storage areas
  • Support the Food Service Manager and kitchen staff as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Other related duties as required
