About The Position

My Place Hotel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Guest Services Representative to join their team. This role is crucial as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth experience from booking to departure. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, a multitasker with a positive attitude, and possesses good knowledge of the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests warmly, handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, manage reservations, and accurately record charges for rooms, taxes, My Store purchases, and pet fees.
  • Act as a resource for guests, providing information about the hotel, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and churches. Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally.
  • Operate the phone system with proper etiquette, take and transfer calls, record messages accurately, and manage guest wake-up calls.
  • Complete credit card authorizations and accurately handle cash transactions, providing correct change.
  • Maintain organized records of daily activities, including preparing the Night Audit Checklist, managing cash and call logs, and updating the Front Desk Log. Report front desk, guest relations, or maintenance issues to the General Manager.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols, including regular property inspections, checking outside doors for security, and ensuring outdoor lighting is functional.
  • Actively promote the Stay Rewarded Loyalty Program.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks such as laundry, cleaning and sanitizing common areas, stocking supplies, making coffee, and stocking the coffee bar. Ensure entrances and sidewalks are clear of snow and ice.
  • Deliver additional guest supplies like rollaway cribs, towels, and soap as needed. Issue and track master keys and key cards for housekeeping and maintenance staff.
  • Assist with cleaning guest rooms when necessary, especially during peak times or when housekeeping staff is short.
