About The Position

The Guest Services Coordinator will act as an ambassador of the resort, providing special assistance and information, confirming reservations, and fielding all incoming calls. This role involves answering the telephone, greeting prospective guests in a friendly manner, and providing accurate information regarding availability, amenities, transportation, and rates. The coordinator will also promote current room and food & beverage specials and process reservations based on guest preferences and availability. The position requires sitting for long periods in a confined space and close proximity to other associates.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Basic mathematical and calculator skills to prepare mathematical calculations without error, e.g., correcting guest folios.
  • Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write English clearly.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
  • Learning and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
  • Highly creative, with strong interpersonal skills!
  • Professional phone etiquette, writing skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Individuals who are passionate about hotels and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador of the resort by providing special assistance and information, confirming reservations, and fielding all incoming calls.
  • Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal English communication.
  • Listen to callers to understand inquiries and requests.
  • Promptly provide accurate information regarding availability, amenities, transportation, and rates.
  • Promote current Waterfront rooms or F&B specials in outlets.
  • Process and confirm reservations based on guests’ preferences and availability.
