About The Position

The Guest Services Attendant assists members and guests with information on the offerings of the North Palm Beach Country Club. This position provides clerical and customer service work in answering questions and inquiries, making reservations for the golf, tennis, pool, and restaurant facilities, merchandise sales, and acting as a liaison to all activities of the Country Club. Work is performed under the supervision of the General Manager. This position will typically be scheduled for late morning to early evening, including weekend days. It is anticipated that the schedule for this position will be Tuesday - Friday from 12:00pm - 6:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am - 2:00pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
  • Prior customer service experience required.
  • Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook knowledge required.
  • Ability to learn and work a Point of Sale computer system, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
  • Must possess fundamental cash-handling abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • intermediate proficiency in Excel and/or Word preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides quality customer service to patrons utilizing Country Club facilities and programs and helps to resolve customer issues.
  • Provides support and competent assistance for programs, events, and facilities as assigned.
  • Will greet members, residents, and guests of the North Palm Beach Country Club at the Welcome Desk; answers telephones; gives information over the phone and in person; registers users; collect fees; balance cash/registers.
  • Responsible for maintaining the administrative area and front lobby to meet professional standards.
  • Responsible for producing membership photo IDs and cards for inquiring members.
  • Responsible for communicating positively and effectively with Members, residents, peers, managers, patrons, and the public through verbal interactions and written correspondence.
  • Relays accurate information to the Members, residents, guests, and the general public.
  • Maintains a detailed record of guest interactions, comments, and feedback.
  • Acts as receptionist, answers telephone inquiries about routine procedures and policies, relays and dispatches messages as required.
  • Assists General Manager with research and information gathering for various programs and activities.
  • Sells Country Club merchandise.
  • Oversees the collection and safekeeping of revenue collected.
  • Makes reservations and handles cancellations for golf, tennis, restaurant, and pool facilities.
  • Promotes North Palm Beach Country Club, and Village of North Palm Beach activities, classes, and events.
  • Assists with creation and distribution of promotional materials.
  • Assists with special events.
