About The Position

The Guest Services Agent is responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests upon arrival and ensuring a smooth departure. This role involves assisting guests with their luggage, explaining room amenities, handling deliveries, providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions, and assisting with transportation needs. The agent will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area and common spaces.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical requirements include walking, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Some previous experience in guest services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a "sense of arrival" using proper greetings and their last name.
• Escort guests to their rooms with luggage, explaining door lock systems and emergency exits.
• In the guest room, hang garments, explain amenities, and place luggage on a rack.
• Valet guest vehicles or provide directions to parking areas.
• Remove luggage from guest rooms upon departure and bring it to the lobby, storing it if necessary.
• Retrieve guest vehicles as requested.
• Deliver messages, newspapers, amenities, or packages to guest rooms.
• Perform other miscellaneous deliveries as required.
• Ensure continuous bell stand coverage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including common rooms and storage closets.
• Arrange furniture properly and pick up debris.
• Maintain a clean entryway by sweeping, shoveling, salting, and ensuring proper lighting.
• Maintain a working knowledge of in-house facilities, hours of operation, daily activities, and area attractions.
• Provide guests with information and brochures on Kohler Resort facilities and history.
• Respond to special requests in a timely manner and inform relevant hotel departments.
• Inform supervisor of any guest problems or unusual circumstances.
• Assist with transportation needs.
• Valet park vehicles.
• Park Avis Rental cars in the designated area for applicable properties.
