The purpose of a GUEST SERVICE AGENT is to serve as the primary contact for all guests throughout their stay and effectively and efficiently check guests in and out of the hotel. This role requires operating the front desk according to standard operating procedures with exceptional guest service, managing the reservation system, check-in/checkout, and credit card systems while adhering to safety and security protocols. The agent is responsible for maintaining accurate guest records, cash drawers, and handling guest communications via switchboard and messages. Knowledge of hotel promotions, room rates, amenities, building layout, and local services is essential. Daily reporting, maintaining a clean lobby and office area, and preparing room status sheets for housekeeping are also key duties. The role involves handling guest complaints, confirming reservations, and ensuring all calls are answered promptly and professionally.
