About The Position

Blue Water is a fast-growing hospitality company founded in 2002, operating RV resorts, campgrounds, hotels, and attractions. They focus on creating unforgettable guest experiences. This role is for a part-time Guest Service Specialist who will be the first point of contact for guests, assisting with reservations, check-in/check-out, and providing support throughout their stay. The position requires a friendly demeanor, helpful attitude, and a willingness to go the extra mile. This is a part-time closing shift role that includes weekends, with specific shift hours varying by season (2:30 PM - 9:00 PM in summer, 1:30 PM - 8:00 PM otherwise).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years of front desk, reservations, or customer service experience
  • Must be enthusiastic, upbeat, and energetic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work a diverse work schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Must work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Must be able to effectively use computers and technologies, including answering phones, using computers, copiers, fax machines, and credit card/cash machines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • All-Hands-On-Deck mindset

Responsibilities

  • Operate front desk and guest service station features, including taking reservations, checking guests in and out, handling charges, and addressing concerns.
  • Deliver impactful guest interactions using the Blue Water Way, including phone and face-to-face communication.
  • Support the concierge department by providing guest relations, directing guests, answering questions, and assisting with arrangements.
  • Follow daily procedures for opening and closing the guest service center, ensuring a clean and orderly environment.
  • Adhere to proper cash handling procedures, including collecting monies, logging transactions, issuing receipts, and performing cash drops.
  • Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide regular and reliable attendance.
