About The Position

The Staybridge Suites Seattle-Fremont is looking to hire a Guest Service Representative. This role involves greeting guests, completing check-in procedures, answering inquiries, accepting reservations, managing financial transactions, maintaining customer relations, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The position also requires contributing to departmental communication and operations, aiding other associates, and adhering to safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements

• Strong Computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to type 40+wpm
• Able to learn new web applications
• Strong work ethic
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to lift up-to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must have open availability as there are no set days off, and be open to overtime when needed

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets and completes standard check-in procedures for arriving guests daily, using both manual and computerized methods ensuring guest satisfaction
• Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations, in person, through email and telephone calls, and help guests with directions and area activities
• Controls and records financial transactions at a front desk
• Maintains good customer relations by staying informed of all in-house and area functions in order to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses, in person and on telephone
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management
• Contributes and maintains established information and communication sources such as department and front desk log books to enhance department communications and operations
• Aids other associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel
• Ensure safety by following the safety and sanitation procedures and reporting suspicious activity to management
