About The Position
The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Guest Service Representative creates a warm, welcoming environment for our guests, offers creative solutions for celebratory occasions, and sells our delicious cakes. This role is the first point of brand contact in the bakery and plays an essential part in bringing joy to our guests, creating memorable experiences, and leaving a positive, lasting impression. The Guest Service Representative embodies NbC core values and demonstrates a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, as well as excellence and efficiency in the workplace. We’re looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for creating great guest experiences.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Exhibits high energy and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly, helpful, and guest-focused with a positive attitude
- Enjoys interacting with diverse people and excels at providing a superior guest experience
- Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Is diligent, organized and self-motivated
- Has the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Comfortable with technology and able to operate a point-of-sale system
- Basic math skills, including handling cash and making change
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous guest service experience in retail, restaurant, or bakery settings is a plus
Responsibilities
- Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with warmth and enthusiasm to determine needs and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience
- Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions, and complimentary retail merchandise
- Suggests additional items such as balloons, candles, and cards to enhance guest celebrations
- Processes orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system; invites guests to join the Bundtastic Rewards program
- Maintains a clean, organized bakery presentation, including light cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces
- Replenishes retail merchandise and cake display cases to maintain strong visual presentation
- Assists with preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed
- Complies with all health and safety guidelines, NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and hygiene standards.
- Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality
