About The Position

The Courtyard by Marriott in Holland is seeking a Guest Service Representative to join their fast-paced, high-energy team. The Guest Service Representative is responsible for providing strong sales techniques and excellent guest service, adhering to Suburban Inns’ Core Values and brand standards, and ensuring guests are 100% satisfied.

Requirements

Ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions.
Basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing skills.
Good communication skills.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent related experience.
CPR Training (may be completed upon hire).

Nice To Haves

Experience in sales techniques.
Experience in guest service.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner, making personal connections to ensure they feel welcome and valued.
Sell the property according to the Suburban Inns sales standard.
Gather appropriate guest data, including address information, credit cards, and signatures.
Follow shift checklists to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations.
Record special needs, requests, and occurrences in Quore, and communicate unordinary events to the next shift.
Complete required emergency training according to Suburban Inns and brand standards, staying knowledgeable of all emergency procedures.
Maintain a neat and clean workspace at the front desk and adjacent areas.
Perform property walk-arounds, addressing issues encountered, picking up trash, used towels, room service trays, and identifying safety and security concerns.
Report problems to the appropriate department and General Manager.
Settle and reconcile guest accounts and paperwork.
Balance cash drawer and make appropriate cash drops.
Provide excellent guest service by supplying information on hotel policies, services, and amenities.
Respond to guest requests for assistance and information on surrounding areas.
Handle guest concerns and problem-solve in a tactful, professional manner.
Maintain open lines of communication between all hotel departments.
Follow all Suburban Inns Processes.
Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
