About The Position

Comfort Inn Plymouth is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to join their team as a 3rd Shift Guest Service Representative / Night Auditor. This role is the overnight heartbeat of the hotel, combining guest service, attention to detail, and problem-solving. It is ideal for someone who enjoys independence, takes pride in accuracy, and understands the importance of hospitality during overnight hours. The position involves welcoming late arrivals, assisting guests with check-ins/check-outs and requests, answering phone calls, and ensuring guests feel safe and cared for. Operational duties include updating files, balancing accounts, preparing reports, and maintaining the front desk and lobby. The role also requires conducting property walks for safety and security, and preparing the lobby for the morning. This role requires the ability to work independently overnight, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn hotel systems are necessary. While hospitality or customer service experience is a plus, personality and reliability are prioritized. Requirements

  • Great attention to detail
  • Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks
  • Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems
  • Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable working independently overnight
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel systems

Responsibilities

  • Welcome late arrivals with a warm, friendly, and professional presence
  • Assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and overnight requests
  • Answer all incoming and in-house phone calls
  • Ensure guests feel safe, valued, and cared for throughout the night
  • Handle guest questions or concerns calmly and confidently
  • Update all files and reset the system for the following day activity
  • Balance room and market accounts with accuracy
  • Prepare reports for hotel leadership to start the next day strong
  • Ensure the front desk and lobby remain organized and presentable
  • Conduct routine property walks to maintain safety and security
  • Set up the morning for success (coffee ready, lobby welcoming, details in place)
