About The Position

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys independence, takes pride in accuracy, and understands that even at 2:00 AM, hospitality matters. At Home2 Suites Plymouth, our Night Auditor is the overnight heartbeat of the hotel—combining guest service, attention to detail, and a touch of problem-solving magic. The Night Auditor balances both the numbers and the guest experience, welcoming late arrivals, assisting with check-ins/check-outs, and ensuring guests feel safe, valued, and cared for throughout the night. They also complete the nightly audit process, balance accounts, prepare reports for leadership, and ensure the front desk and lobby remain organized and presentable. Additionally, they conduct routine property walks, set up the morning for success, and serve as the reliable overnight presence.

Requirements

  • Great attention to detail
  • Thorough organizational skills, proficient in accomplishing all tasks
  • Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations and backup systems
  • Above average mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in hotels
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with employees and guests
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy, to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Friendly, dependable, and professional
  • Comfortable working independently overnight
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Calm under pressure and a natural problem solver
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn hotel systems

Responsibilities

  • Welcome late arrivals with a warm, friendly, and professional presence
  • Assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and overnight requests

  • Handle guest questions or concerns calmly and confidently
  • Complete the nightly audit process to reconcile daily transactions
  • Balance room, restaurant, and market accounts with accuracy
  • Prepare reports for hotel leadership to start the next day strong
  • Ensure the front desk and lobby remain organized and presentable
  • Conduct routine property walks to maintain safety and security
  • Set up the morning for success (coffee ready, lobby welcoming, details in place)
  • Be the reliable overnight presence our guests and team depend on
