About The Position

Great Shots Golf is seeking a friendly and proactive Guest Service Assistant to join their team at their premier golf entertainment venue. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests by assisting with check-ins, providing information, and ensuring smooth operations across golf bays, dining areas, and event spaces. The Guest Service Assistant will be the first point of contact for many visitors, working closely with the team to deliver exceptional service and help every guest make the most of their time at Great Shots Golf.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., golf equipment), and handle repetitive tasks in a lively venue.
  • Availability to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for special events, tournaments, or peak seasons as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred but not required; a friendly demeanor and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of guests, from golf enthusiasts to families and event attendees.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Familiarity with reservation or point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus, along with basic tech-savviness to assist with golf bay technology.
  • Team player with a passion for creating fun and memorable experiences for guests in a unique entertainment setting.
  • One month experience preferred.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assisting with check-ins for golf bay reservations, dining, or event attendance, and ensuring a smooth start to their experience.
  • Provide information about Great Shots Golf offerings, including golf bay features, menu options, event schedules, and pricing, to help guests plan their visit.
  • Manage the check-in process efficiently, using the venue’s reservation system to assign golf bays, process payments, and handle any special requests.
  • Monitor guest flow throughout the venue, ensuring golf bays and dining areas are ready for new guests and addressing any immediate needs or concerns.
  • Assist guests with equipment setup, such as providing golf clubs, explaining how to use the golf bay technology, and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and other staff to ensure seamless service, communicating guest needs or special requests (FIFO – First In, First Out).
  • Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the check-in desk, waiting areas, and guest-facing spaces, to create a welcoming environment.
  • Handle guest inquiries or complaints with professionalism, resolving issues promptly or escalating to the Hospitality Managers when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Hospitality Managers, such as assisting with event setup, supporting group bookings, or promoting special offers to enhance the guest experience.
