Guest Service Associate - PT (Langley)
About The Position
Otter Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Guest Service Associate for its Retail Centre in Langley, BC. Otter Co-op is a diverse and growing organization that has been serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and BC Interior since 1922. With over 103 years in business and a team of over 600 employees, Otter Co-op is a locally owned and community-minded organization. They operate multiple food and pharmacy stores, liquor stores, a feed mill, petroleum facilities, a pub, and convenience stores. The Guest Service Associate will provide excellent service to guests, process orders accurately, balance cash tills, and contribute to the team's corporate values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence. The work done by the team supports member-owners by helping to build, fuel, feed, and grow Western Canadian communities.
Requirements
- Must have solid understanding of basic math skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a desire to provide a great shopping experience for every guest (both internal and external)
- Above average communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Proven track record as a self-starter, dedicated and reliable
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Must be committed to a SAFE work environment
- Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Must have weekend availability and open availability to work a variety of shifts that include early mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Cashier an asset
- Lotto and/or Food Safe certification an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
- Process orders in an efficient and accurate manner
- Balance cash tills accurately on a daily basis
- Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
