Guest Service Associate - PT (Abbotsford)
About The Position
Otter Co-op is now hiring a Part-Time Guest Service Associate for our Mt. Lehman Food Store located in Abbotsford, BC. Otter Co-op is a diverse and growing organization, serving the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and BC Interior since 1922. With over 103 years in business and over 600 in our team, we are proud to be a locally owned and community minded member of the neighbourhoods we live, work and play in. We operate three food and pharmacy stores (including one with a fashion and hardware department), thirty Angry Otter liquor stores, one feed mill, two bulk petroleum facilities, the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, and multiple gas station/convenience stores. The team provides a range of products and services to support member-owners, helping to build, fuel, feed and grow Western Canadian communities together.
Requirements
- Must have solid understanding of basic math skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a desire to provide a great shopping experience for every guest (both internal and external)
- Above average communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Proven track record as a self-starter, dedicated and reliable
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Must be committed to a SAFE work environment
- Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Must have open availability to work a variety of shifts that include early mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Cashier an asset
- Lotto and/or Food Safe certification an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
- Process orders in an efficient and accurate manner
- Balance cash tills accurately on a daily basis
- Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned
