About The Position

The Colonnade Hotel, a Four Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel located in the heart of Boston's historic Back Bay, is seeking a Guest Service Agent. This role is crucial as the face of the hotel, interacting with guests from all over the world and ensuring a memorable stay. The hotel boasts 285 elegantly appointed rooms and luxury suites, known for its personal service and exceptional amenities, making it a preferred choice for sophisticated travelers.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year prior customer service experience required.
• Previous guest services experience within a hotel is required.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (English).
• Computer skills including MS Office needed.
• Working knowledge of guest and hotel services, policies and operations.
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
• Upbeat, energetic and work as a part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of Hotel School or college degree highly desirable.
• Opera experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Manage the guest registration process and communicate hotel services and promotions.
• Operate PBX equipment for incoming and outgoing calls, and schedule wake-up calls.
• Provide information and recommendations for area restaurants, theaters, community events, and activities.
• Provide directions to hotel facilities or events.
• Resolve and follow up on customer complaints to maintain high customer satisfaction and quality.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned.
