About The Position

Saint Kate is seeking a part-time Front Desk Agent to join their team. This role is responsible for greeting guests, providing prompt and courteous service, and ensuring unforgettable experiences. Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel is a modern, luxury hotel in Milwaukee's Theater District, known for its artistic flair and inspired by music, painting, sculpture, and design. As part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the hotel engages a diverse audience of theater enthusiasts, food connoisseurs, and entertainment seekers.

Requirements

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent customer service skills and communication are required.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Monday - Friday Availability

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel.
• Check guests in and out of rooms.
• Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests.
• Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs.
• Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
• Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management.
• Promptly answer the phone in a professional and clear manner.
• Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank.
• Other duties as assigned.
