About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, comfort, and inviting guest accommodation by cleaning and servicing assigned guest rooms and public areas in accordance with hotel standards. This position plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and hospitality while promoting a positive and welcoming environment for every guest.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping, hospitality, janitorial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
  • Customer service experience in a hospitality environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms, suites, bathrooms, corridors, and designated public areas according to established hotel standards.
  • Make beds, replace linens, replenish towels, and restock guest amenities and supplies.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, clean mirrors and windows, and sanitize bathrooms and high-touch surfaces.
  • Inspect completed rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with quality standards before releasing them for occupancy.
  • Report maintenance issues, damaged furnishings, and safety hazards promptly using established procedures.
  • Remove trash, soiled linens, and recyclable materials while maintaining proper sanitation practices.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, always ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Respect guest privacy by following hotel procedures for occupied rooms and "Do Not Disturb" requests.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel operations.
  • Report lost and found items immediately in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts with adequate linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies throughout each shift.
  • Properly use, store, and maintain cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies following safety guidelines and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Follow all departmental procedures for infection prevention, sanitation, and quality assurance.
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects, special assignments, and public area cleaning as directed.
  • Support fellow team members to ensure departmental goals and productivity standards are achieved.
  • Follow all hotel safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by using proper lifting techniques and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms in accordance with company standards.
  • Comply with all company policies, attendance standards, and departmental procedures.
