About The Position

The Room Attendant is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team, maintaining the guest rooms and suites to industry high standards which allows the ultimate comfort for our visiting guests. A great eye for detail, a high sense of quality and integrity, and a passion for great service will make a successful candidate.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 + year previous experience required in related position; in a luxury hotel setting preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Have a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and working knowledge of English required and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Cleans guestrooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Inspect all rooms (vacant or occupied) checking the standard of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and/or supplies.
• Provides genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area.
• Promotes hotel services and products.
• Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
• Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery, reports defects and accidents to management immediately.
• To immediately report and hand into the Housekeeping Office any property or guest keys found in ‘check out’ rooms.
• To keep linen rooms tidy, correctly stocked and closed when not in use.
• Must ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy and in good working order.
• Responsible for reporting to the manager the rooms, which do not require service, or which have Privacy signs in assigned area.
• To report to managers any blankets, bedspreads, valances etc. that need changing.
• Reports any damages/repairs/maintenance inserted in HotSOS.
• Carries out any other cleaning duties as specified by your manager.
