Guest Group Weekend Host
About The Position
Fox Valley Christian Action is seeking a part-time Guest Group Weekend Host to provide a hospitable and welcoming environment for renting Guest Groups while ensuring the facility is well-maintained. This role involves staying on campus from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon for most weekends, with accommodations provided. Some weekends may require only a few hours of work at an hourly rate. Fox Valley Christian Action is a ministry serving under-resourced communities by discipling children and families through a Christian camp and conference center. The facility is used for their own ministry programs and also rented out to other churches and organizations to generate revenue.

- Willing to stay the entire weekend on campus

Nice To Haves
- Assisting guests with unloading/setup is always a nice way to bless them when possible.
Responsibilities
- Be available at the FVCA Riverwoods Campus by 4pm on Friday until Sunday afternoon.
- Be available by phone at all times and no more than 15 minutes away if temporarily leaving the campus is necessary.
- Check all areas guests will use for cleanliness and proper setup prior to guest arrival.
- Communicate any needed repairs, cleaning, or changes to the onsite Facility Team and/or the Guest Group Coordinator.
- Greet each Guest Group upon arrival and guide them through the check-in process.
- Familiarize guests with their accommodations and any equipment they might be using.
- Assist with any reasonable and possible last-minute changes or accommodations.
- Be responsible for building access, locking and unlocking as needed.
- Periodically check in with guests, check supplies, help with the flow of groups, perform light cleaning and garbage removal, or assist with emergency clean up.
- Assist during meal times if meals are being provided.
- Touch base with the Guest Group prior to departure for the check-out process.
- Walk through and lock up after guests depart, checking lights, thermostats, and for any damage or left-behind items.
- Provide brief notes to the Guest Group Coordinator about the weekend.
Benefits
- Accommodations will be provided.
- Pay will vary. Most weekends will be $200.
- Other weekends will be paid $15-$17/hour.
