About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Guest Experience Specialist to join our boutique meat market team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers at the checkout, ensuring a positive and seamless transaction experience. You will be responsible for accurately processing payments, managing the cash drawer, handling returns, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High School or equivalent
Customer service skills – Ability to assist customers professionally and courteously
Cash handling & basic math skills – Accurately process transactions and make change
Dependability – Reliable attendance, punctuality, and follow‑through
Communication skills – Clear verbal communication with customers and team members
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment – Manage multiple tasks efficiently
Physical ability – Stand for extended periods and lift/store merchandise as needed

Responsibilities

Accurately handling cash, credit/debit card payments, and other forms of payment, and issuing receipts or invoices.
Providing a positive customer experience by being polite, efficient, and responsive to customer inquiries or issues.
Ensuring the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each shift, and maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
Processing returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
Keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciling discrepancies as needed.
Following company procedures and legal requirements related to financial transactions and data security.
Display products according to the planogram.
