About The Position

The photographer is responsible for taking pictures of guests during the pre-boarding process, printing and packaging the photos and selling the photos to the guests. This role involves managing all aspects of the photo program, from setup and guest line control to shooting, printing, packaging, and sales. The photographer will also be responsible for photographing private events and ensuring all equipment is operational. A strong emphasis is placed on cash handling, sales record keeping, and providing exceptional customer service on the waterfront. Maintaining a clean workspace, adhering to the dress code, and performing additional tasks as assigned are also key components of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of pre-boarding photo program to include, setting up dock area, controlling guest lines, shooting photo’s during boarding, printing, packaging and selling photos to the guest.
  • Photograph private weddings and other charters as requested by Hornblower.
  • Accurately operate all photography equipment. Be prepared with fully charged camera, ample supplies of memory cards, charged batteries, CD cards & flashes.
  • Ensure all cash handling policies are adhered to and documented correctly on a daily basis.
  • Follow policy for daily sales record keeping.
  • Provide the best customer service on the waterfront. Project a friendly and helpful attitude at all times. Assist with questions of our guests to ensure they feel important and satisfied.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.
  • Adhere to HCE dress code at all times.
  • Preform additional tasks and assignments as requested of you by management.
  • Advise Supervisor or Human Resources any changes of name, address or work status as it affects your compensation, benefits or employment.
  • Accurately complete all documentation including payroll, time sheets, revenue reports, paperwork and invoices on a timely basis.
  • Know and understand internal policies and external regulatory requirements that relate to your position and department.
  • Work with a “safety-first” attitude and ensure you and your team adhere to all safety rules and standards.
  • Ensure all facility, guest and crew accidents, incidents, safety hazards and violations including those that create harm, litigation or insurance are promptly reported and required forms completed.
  • Communicate with senior management of any issues affecting the health, welfare and safety of guests, crew, assets and facilities.
  • Minimize your impact on the environment when at work.
  • When providing information, communicate via email or authorized media, using paper as a last resort.
  • Treat our customers with RESPECT at all times.

  • To deliver quality service, always greet guests and potential guests with a smile, answer basic questions and offer guests product information when requested.
  • Ensure that all crew members in your department have been trained in HAZCOM and are familiar with the Review and familiarize the HAZCOM “Right to Know” data sheets on all work chemicals that they come in contact with.
  • Ensure that you and your team wear/utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety. Lead by example.
