About The Position

CAMP is seeking a highly energetic, charismatic, and multi-talented individual to join their team as a Guest Experience Host. This role is ideal for performers, camp counselors, educators, and natural entertainers who love engaging with children and families. The Guest Experience Host acts as a key frontline representative, combining immersive performance within the experience with driving retail sales and providing exceptional guest service throughout the store.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be local to the area.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a guest-first mindset.
  • Passion for selling and working with people.
  • Prior experience in retail, child-care, child development/education, or performing arts.
  • Patience, warmth, joy, and humor.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver scripted and improvised dialogue within the immersive experience space.
  • Lead guided programming and play-based experiences, including Toy Demos & Guided Play and Leading Crafts or Slime.
  • Serve as a Character Host (Mascot Handler) to direct and supervise guest flow, including line management for character meet-and-greets.
  • Adapt programming to different age groups and group sizes, modeling playfulness and fun.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs by providing best-in-class selling experiences.
  • Engage in conversations with families to introduce them to relevant products and unique items.
  • Welcome every guest with a custom greeting and perform a 'magic door entrance'.
  • Customize personal shopping experiences, process transactions at the register, and share information on upcoming programs.
  • Build a repeat customer base by creating an approachable, unique, and tailored sales culture.
  • Open and close the experience and store spaces, including daily setup, safety checks, and end-of-day breakdown.
  • Assist in merchandising and replenishing the sales floor.
  • Assist with Back of House and stock room tasks.
  • Uphold safety protocols, perform ongoing cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting of play and retail areas.
  • Communicate customer/store needs to leadership, collaborate with team members, and contribute to a positive team culture.
