About The Position

Guest Engagement Facilitators are the main point of contact for Discovery Lab guests. This position is responsible for facilitating customer-facing roles such as greeting guests at the museum’s front desk and ensuring a world-class experience in exhibit gallery spaces. Every shift is a new chance to make someone's day fun, welcoming, educational, and safe from start to finish. Above all, this role creates "remember-when" moments and hospitality that keeps guests coming back.

Requirements

Exceptional hospitality skills
Fun, outgoing, positive attitude
Ability to follow basic instructions
Professional communication skills, both written and oral
Organized attention to detail
Recognize and respond appropriately to safety and security issues
High School diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education
Customer service experience

Responsibilities

Bring exhibits, pop-ups, and demos to life so guests create joyful curiosity while they play.
Keep guests safe and exhibits reset, refreshed, and ready for the next round of fun.
Follow opening and closing procedures for museum floor operations.
Be the go-to guide for Discovery Lab’s activities, events, and attractions.
Facilitate exceptional experiences for birthday parties and facility rentals as scheduled.
Greeting and checking in guests at the front desk. Processing payments and cash handling as well as communicating daily programming and upcoming events.
Greeting and supporting customers in the retail space, including processing payments.
Promoting memberships and member benefits as well as getting to know members and loyal guests.
Keep all guest-facing spaces, including the exhibit floor, lobby, and ticketing area clean and welcoming.
Maintain a strong understanding of the museum to be able to answer general questions by guests.
Provide excellent customer service and hospitality to visitors.
Cheer on, appreciate, and mentor our amazing volunteers.
Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Adhere to the appropriate dress code.
Assist with front-line operations as needed and may be assigned other duties as applicable by their direct supervisor.
