About The Position

This On-Demand Guest Advocate role at Target offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing team members to work as much or as little as they desire. Team members are not on a fixed weekly schedule but can create their own by picking up available shifts through the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable attendance and active engagement by working at least one shift every four weeks are required. The role involves attending a Target Welcome orientation and completing a short-term training schedule. Guest Advocates are responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. They also assist with in-store and digital services, ensuring shopping is quick and easy at various touchpoints like checklanes, guest services, and pickup areas.

Frequently lift or move product up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
Flexibility in picking up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
Active engagement by picking up and working shifts and responding to contact attempts.
Must work at least one shift within 5 months.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a smile, make eye contact, and initiate a warm, helpful interaction.
Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards.
Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
Explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-ups.
Be familiar with and direct guests to fulfillment services (order pickup, Drive-Up, Registry).
Understand and demonstrate how to use the Target App features.
Process returns and partner with leaders to resolve guest issues according to Target's policies.
De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience in partnership with leaders.
Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive-Up, and Registry guests.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for guests.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Work safely at all times, comply with safety policies, and report hazards.
Support guest services like order pickup and Drive-Up, ensuring compliance with laws (e.g., adult beverage laws).
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
