Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. We bring that vision to life through our values and culture. As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you can work as much or as little as you like, and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. On-Demand TMs are not included on the posted weekly schedule but can create their own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when picking up a shift. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required. Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts at Target. Failure to respond to contact attempts may result in termination of employment. Additionally, failure to work at least one shift within 5 months will result in administrative termination. Communication and the ability to work when business demands it most are critical to success in this role. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After training, the myTime mobile scheduling app is where you can pick up shifts. Advocates of guest experience welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. The role of a Guest Advocate can provide skills and experience in communicating and interacting with guests to build an inclusive guest experience, blending problem-solving and decision-making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns, and adapting to different guest interactions and situations, and promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings, and services.
