About The Position

This role is for an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, specifically in small format stores. As an On-Demand TM, you will have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like, creating your own schedule by picking up available shifts through the myTime mobile scheduling app. This role is ideal for individuals seeking a personalized work schedule. Reliable and prompt attendance is crucial when you pick up a shift. Active engagement is required, including picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks (minimum of four hours). You must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm interest in working shifts. Failure to respond may lead to termination. Employment will be administratively terminated if no shift is worked within five months. Communication and the ability to work during peak business demands are critical. Upon offer, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and complete a short-term structured training. In small format stores, the focus is on enabling a consistent guest experience by ensuring products are in stock, available, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. This team is responsible for proficiency in all store areas, including cashiering, stocking, presentation, and price accuracy, while providing exceptional guest service.

Requirements

  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
  • Flexibility when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) to help meet store needs.
  • Active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to attempts at contact.
  • Must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment will be administratively terminated.
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly demeanor, making eye contact and initiating a warm, helpful interaction.
  • Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

  • Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
  • Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock.
  • Assist with truck unload process and stock product to the sales floor.
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
  • Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately.
  • Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support execution of major transitions.
  • Maintain interior and exterior brand standards, including emptying garbage cans, attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, recycling, and attending to spills.
  • Accurately execute all Fills (fill the floor, liability fills, guest requests, and backstock product from all departments).
  • Process all inbound deliveries using the receive application to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Complete all backroom weekly audits.
  • Operate power equipment only if certified.
  • Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines.
  • Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress, and accurately prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times, comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training, and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU), and maintain a compliance culture.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
