About The Position

This role is for an On-Demand Team Member (TM) at Target, specifically in a Small Format store. As an On-Demand TM, you have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you like, with a schedule that varies based on shift availability and store needs. You will not be on a posted weekly schedule but can create your own by picking up shifts via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable attendance is required when you pick up a shift. You must actively engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every four weeks (minimum of four hours) and respond to attempts to contact you to confirm interest in working shifts. Failure to respond may lead to termination. Employment will be administratively terminated if no shift is worked within five months. Communication and the ability to work during peak business demands are critical. Upon offer, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule. Small Format stores focus on ensuring product is in stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. Team members are expected to be proficient in all areas, including cashiering, stocking, presentation, and price accuracy, while providing exceptional guest service. This role offers meaningful experiences to build skills in guest service, retail business fundamentals, and supporting daily workloads to meet business priorities and sales goals.

Requirements

Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
Flexibility when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) to help meet store needs.
Active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to attempts at contact.
Must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment will be administratively terminated.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a smile, make eye contact, or wave from 10 feet away.
Greet the guest, smile, and initiate a warm, helpful interaction from 4 feet away.
Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.
End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
Help guests as you complete workload with minimal guest disruption.
Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock for guests.
Assist with truck unload process and stock product to the sales floor.
Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for all departments.
Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Support execution of major transitions.
Maintain interior and exterior brand, including emptying garbage cans, attending to restroom cleanliness, collecting carts, charging electronic carts, recycling, and attending to spills.
Accurately execute all Fills (fill the floor, liability fills, guest requests, and backstock product from all departments).
Process all inbound deliveries (using the receive application) to ensure inventory accuracy.
Complete all backroom weekly audits.
Operate power equipment only if certified.
Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines.
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress, and accurately prioritize tasks.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
All other duties based on business needs.
