About The Position

Seasonal roles at Target offer a variety of experiences, including working as a Guest Advocate (Cashier), in General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, as a Front of Store Attendant (Cart Attendant), in Style, or Inbound (Stocking). These roles are designed to provide team members with meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. Seasonal Specialty Sales Roles involve being a sales force of specialized consultants who provide tailored suggestions and solutions through active selling and compelling visual merchandising presentations. Seasonal Service & Engagement roles focus on being advocates of guest experience, welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations through guest interaction and recovery. Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales roles require expertise in operations, process, and efficiency to ensure product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor, enabling a consistent guest experience. Target believes these roles can provide knowledge of guest service fundamentals, experience supporting a guest-first culture, and insights into retail business fundamentals such as department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency.

  • Experience in retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency and improvement.
  • Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Actively sell and create compelling visual merchandising presentations.
  • Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations.
  • Focus on guest interaction and recovery.
  • Ensure product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor.
  • Operate cash registers accurately.
  • Climb up and down ladders.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds.
