About The Position

This On-Demand Team Member role allows you to work as much or as little as you like, with a schedule that can vary based on shift availability and store needs. It's ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. On-Demand TMs are not on a posted weekly schedule but can create their own by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when a shift is picked up. Active engagement is required by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to attempts to confirm interest in working shifts. Failure to respond may lead to termination. Employment will be administratively terminated if no shift is worked within 5 months. Communication and the ability to work when business demands are critical. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term structured training schedule. After training, the myTime mobile scheduling app is used to pick up desired shifts.

Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
Flexibility when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) to help meet store needs.
Active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact. You must work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.
End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application, sign-up, and sign in as needed.
Be familiar with all fulfillment services, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use them.
Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and the other features and offerings within the Target App.
Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed to help solve issues for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures.
Partner with leaders as needed to de-escalate any situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target’s policies and procedures.
Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
Maintain a clean, clutter free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers).
Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
All other duties based on business needs.
