About The Position

This On-Demand Team Member role offers flexibility, allowing you to work as much or as little as you like, with schedules varying based on shift availability and store needs. You can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when you pick up a shift. Active engagement is required by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts at Target. Failure to respond may lead to termination. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment will be administratively terminated. Communication and the ability to work when business demands it are critical. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After training, the myTime mobile scheduling app is where you can pick up desired shifts. As an Advocate of guest experience, you will welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. You will be an advocate for both in-store and digital services and solutions, knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage, and guest loyalty. You will be empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up while ensuring exceptional quality. Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
Flexibility when picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) to help meet store needs.
Active engagement by picking up and working shifts as well as responding to our attempts at contact. You must work at least one shift within 5 months or you will be administratively terminated.
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience.
End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application, sign-up, and sign in as needed.
Be familiar with all fulfillment services, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use them.
Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and the other features and offerings within the Target App.
Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed to help solve issues for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures.
Partner with leaders as needed to de-escalate any situations and recover the guest shopping experience while following Target’s policies and procedures.
Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
Maintain a clean, clutter free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers).
Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
All other duties based on business needs.
