This position is for a Guard II to work in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves managing and supervising site activities, ensuring contractual obligations are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The Guard II will be responsible for administrative, maintenance, logistics, quality, financial, and safety operations at the site. This includes developing and implementing work plans, inspecting technical performance, responding to customer directions, and managing financial matters to achieve budget goals. The role requires developing positive customer relationships, serving as the primary interface with government authorities, and conducting management meetings to ensure performance expectations are met. Additionally, the Guard II will oversee operational matters, interface with leadership and other divisions as needed, and focus on employee morale and welfare. The position also involves participating in interviews, recommending personnel actions, ensuring training requirements are met, identifying cost-saving initiatives, and complying with the Hazardous Waste Program. The Guard II will answer telephone calls, greet customers, respond to security emails, take messages, and route calls. They will inventory and account for all badges, notify leads of missing badges, and possess general knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and databases. The role involves processing visitors, verifying identification and clearance status, issuing badges, and maintaining accurate records and logs. The Guard II will compose, edit, and prepare security-related documents, validate requests in DISS, and issue appropriate badges based on clearance levels. Confidentiality of official business is paramount. Weekly reports and metrics will be provided to the PM/COR. Access control personnel may also provide escort duties. Compliance with safety rules and regulations is mandatory. Other duties as assigned by Akima Leadership.
