About The Position

The GTC Deposits Specialist is responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of all deposit postings into IRA, Sinking Fund accounts and fee processing.

Requirements

  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, notes, letters and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
  • Intermediate: 10-Key, Spreadsheet
  • Basic: Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database, Presentation/PowerPoint, Word Processing/Typing
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Internet, e-mail and a working knowledge of accounting software
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented
  • Must have the ability to interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must have working knowledge of accounting principles to include G/L processing
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk or hear; frequently required to sit; and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Responsibilities

  • Performs data entry for posting of all checks, ach, and wires received.
  • Processes remote capture deposits.
  • Sets up bank drafts.
  • Reviews and reconciles daily balance.
  • Responsible for fee processing to include invoicing account fees, fee payments, and past due notices.
  • Reviews and analyzes reconciling reports.
  • Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
