About The Position

As a GSS Data Analyst, you will prepare data to be used by the Business Reporting & Analytics (BR&A) team across multiple areas of reporting. You will gather requirements from stakeholders and complete data transformation according to those requirements. You will report to the Manager, SQL & Data Manager and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA location. Hybrid Work Schedule.

Requirements

  • B.A., B.S. or equivalent business experience
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of financial processes, controls, and associated improvement programs
  • Familiarity with systems and data quality processes
  • Knolwedge of relational databases
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, R, Java, or any similar programming language
  • Background knowledge of Databricks
  • Proficiency in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query)

Responsibilities

  • Build robust data pipelines to support the gathering and transformation of data to be used by the BR&A and APX Project Management Office teams
  • Support the APX Project Management Office by meeting with stakeholders and developing analytical processes to support Business Intelligence reporting
  • Develop advanced queries to provide valuable data insight for the business
  • Create and maintain data models in an efficient manner, maximizing the use of our data and our tools
  • Develop automated programs for extracting, transforming, and loading data
  • Assist in the administration of a central data lake to be used by the BR&A team
  • Perform research and provide suggestions on technologies that could be used to boost the overall productivity of the BR&A team
  • Protect the integrity of BR&A reporting data by continually monitoring for data cleanliness and quickly identifying and resolving issues
