About The Position

The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s state-funded, nationally recognized Pre-K program for 4-year-olds. The GSRP Aide supports the Lead and Associate Teachers in preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond by helping create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment. The role supports classroom routines, daily activities, meals, transitions, classroom setup and organization, and a clean learning space. The aide also helps implement fun, age-appropriate activities and builds positive relationships with children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Passion for helping children learn and grow.
• Dependability, energy, and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• Early childhood coursework or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom routines and assist with daily activities, meals, and transitions.
• Follow licensing, grant, and center guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all children.
• Assist with classroom setup and organization, and maintain a clean learning space.
• Build positive relationships with children and help implement fun, age-appropriate activities.
• Support Lead and Associate Teachers in preparing children for Kindergarten and beyond.
