About The Position

As a GSOC Operator, you will serve as a vital part of the Surefox Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), handling incident monitoring, staffing, access control oversight, intelligence gathering, and internal security communication. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and responding to security risks and operational issues in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment. We are seeking highly skilled and dependable GSOC Operators to join and lead our operations team in San Francisco. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, continuity, and security of client assets and personnel through real-time monitoring and rapid incident response.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and adjust schedule as needed to meet operational demands
  • Must have an associate's degree or equivalent
  • 2–5 years of experience in GSOC operations, intel, security systems, or law enforcement/military roles
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening (Surefox will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all requirements of State and local laws, regulations or codes)
  • Must display a high degree of proficiency with G-Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Strong familiarity with access control and CCTV platforms
  • Experience interfacing with clients & providing long-term solutions in support of physical security operations
  • Excellent written & interpersonal communication skills that can be applied across the organization, including the executive team
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Must have good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to react to last-minute changes and resolve unexpected issues promptly
  • Ability to remain onsite or respond after-hours to emergencies as needed
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Military, veteran, or first responder background is a plus
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Genetec, security management)
  • Background in threat intelligence or emergency/crisis response
  • Experience in working with director-level employees and higher
  • 4-Year bachelor’s degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience with timekeeping, billing & invoicing software, and CRM platforms is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a GSOC Operator for designated shifts, providing real-time monitoring and response
  • Provide administrative and program support
  • Collaborate on developing and implementing policies and procedures for the GSOC
  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for GSOC personnel
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping records for all GSOC personnel and create audit reports to identify discrepancies
  • Conduct timecard closeouts, including reviews for early, late, or empty timecards
  • Utilize timekeeping data to inform recruitment and retention strategies
  • Manage call-ahead processes for fill and flow fulfillment to ensure proper staffing
  • Provide remote supervision, including guard check-ins and activity monitoring
  • Independently develop and manage complex projects, or take on those assigned by senior management
  • Exercise judgment and offer insight for operational and strategic decisions
  • Provide detailed reports and relevant Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics to leadership and assist with the creation and delivery of Quarterly Business Reports (QBRs)
  • Conduct physical mobile patrols on a regular basis and perform other related duties or special projects as required
  • Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security platforms across global and local sites
  • Respond to alarms, dispatch response teams, and coordinate with internal and external emergency services
  • Conduct incident triage and reporting, escalating when appropriate and documenting all activities
  • Maintain situational awareness of global events and assess potential threats to operations
  • Administer Genetec or equivalent access control systems, including badge issuance and deactivation
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with vendors or integrators for resolution
  • Conduct regular access audits and assist in system optimization and configuration
  • Monitor and analyze open-source intelligence and internal reports for security threats
  • Compile and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly incident and security reports
  • Collaborate with first responders, local law enforcement, and internal stakeholders during incidents
  • Draft and send emergency alerts and advisories when appropriate
  • Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, guard check-ins, and remote oversight
  • Generate reports related to coverage, KPIs, and staffing metrics
  • Support administrative duties for shift logs, training, compliance audits, and documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including lessons learned and crisis after-action reports
