The Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement (HOME) Support Specialist is a vital member of our team, working directly with some of Greensboro's most vulnerable residents. This role focuses on connecting and building trust with individuals experiencing homelessness, especially those at the highest risk of law enforcement engagement. As part of the Office of Community Safety, you will be joining a dynamic team dedicated to improving the lives of those experiencing homelessness. We believe in innovative solutions to build a prosperous and thriving community for all. The GSO HOME Support Specialist will serve as a crucial connector between unsheltered individuals and vital resources. You will work closely with people experiencing homelessness to provide service coordination, collaborate with City departments and external stakeholders, and advocate for the rights of the unsheltered population. Additionally, you’ll foster agreements between unsheltered residents and community members, such as business owners, and work with partners like the Downtown Ambassadors and Guilford County service providers to address community concerns.
