Persons employed as a GSE Mechanic is expected to inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling equipment, as well as checking and servicing it with necessary fluids. The role involves diagnosing problems using test equipment and manuals, building and assembling components, inspecting machinery, and conducting repairs for maximum reliability. Thorough maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machinery components are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the GSE Mechanic will replenish fluids and components, provide consultation on maintenance and preventative measures, keep logs of work, report on issues, and complete required GSE paperwork.
