A GSE Mechanic is a non-licensed person who possesses special skills which are of a value to the Company in a particular subject or field as designated by management.

Requirements

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule for a 24/7 operation including nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Background check and drug screen required
• Must be able to attain and sustain an Airport I.D. Badge
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years documented training and/or job experience in the areas of welding, machinery, electrical and/or pneumatics.
• Diesel experience required.
• Must possess minimum established Company tool requirements.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language and be understood by others.
• May be required to possess Commercial Driver's License (CDL) depending on assignment.

Nice To Haves

• Paint and body experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of computers and equipment
• Ability to solve problems under pressure
• Pro-active attitude towards process improvement

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, disassembly, checking and cleaning, repairing, replacing, testing, adjusting, assembling, installing, servicing, fabricating, or towing any ground equipment while in service or while undergoing overhaul and/or modification.
• Certifies for quality of workmanship, including signing mechanical releases on field work.
• May be assigned to order, receive, inventory, secure or disburse parts and supplies on or off airport facilities.
• May have other maintenance personnel assigned to assist in completing an assignment.
• Works according to Company regulations and procedures and instructions from lead, supervisor or general manager.
• Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures and will communicate with other personnel as required.
