About The Position

The GSE Mechanic Level III is responsible for performing advanced maintenance and repairs on both motorized and non-motorized airline and aircraft ground support equipment. This role involves inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, or modifying various systems and components, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The mechanic will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using test equipment and manuals, adhering to safety and industry standards. Responsibilities also include servicing equipment with necessary fluids, operating and assessing ground equipment performance, documenting work, and tracking parts. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and demonstrating high standards of customer service and professionalism, exemplifying PrimeFlight's customer service and safety standards. Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • 6 years of verified experience required
  • Must provide their own tools and toolbox
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including iPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, or modify various systems and components, including engines, transmissions, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and more
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using test equipment and manuals in accordance with safety and industry standards
  • Service equipment with necessary fluids such as fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, water, and compressed air
  • Operate, test, and assess ground equipment performance and complete related documentation and parts tracking
  • Adhere to safety procedures and demonstrate high standards of customer service and professionalism
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
