The Advanced System Developer provides knowledge in design, architecture, development and administration. Monitors existing systems for structural integrity and oversees the development and installation of new hardware and software. Installs and configures operating systems, other software and routinely test installed software for error detection and other issues. Writes custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention and create automated solutions for the GSC Portal. This position establishes multi-platform versions of the software package and write tests for existing and created code to ensure compatibility and stability. The role involves providing development support to current GSC Portal web developments, building and maintaining a suite of applications to deliver metrics, performance measurement, and alerts dashboards, including the maintenance of test and production environments. A thorough change log must be maintained for all updates to GSC supported websites, with testing and approval prior to production promotion. The developer will leverage industry best practice system development techniques and system life cycle development methodology, work with various departments to identify and capture new requirements, analyze existing manual reporting activities to apply automation techniques for GSC operational efficiencies, and coordinate with groups for RMF certification and accreditation. The position also requires maintaining application system documentation, supporting the Enterprise platform across network, application, and database tiers, and developing/maintaining Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes using UiPath. Agile methodology is also to be leveraged for maintaining the development environment. The role includes maintaining test, COOP, and production environments and performing additional tasks as required.
