About the Role: Color’s Growth Marketing team is responsible for driving revenue and impact across our entire book of business. The Growth Marketing team includes lifecycle, CRM, customer marketing, onsite events, campaign strategy and execution, design and content that brings our marketing to life across many employer, health plan, and union clients. As our team has grown, so has the operational load behind it, and right now that load is spread across individuals on the team. We're hiring a Growth Operations & Automation Manager to take ownership, and enable our team to scale. This person will be the operating system behind our dynamic and complex team. This role reports to the Director of Engagement Marketing.

Requirements

  • Background in marketing operations, strategy and operations, or business operations, operating independently without program management or analyst support
  • Have built operating cadences, planning processes, or business reviews from scratch in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Have built or owned a measurement framework from scratch, not just reported metrics someone else defined
  • Have used or created AI tools to make your own or a team's workflow measurably faster
  • Are fluent with spreadsheets, business intelligence dashboards, project management software, and marketing or CRM systems such as Braze and Lob
  • A bias toward action: you don't need a lot of direction to get moving, and you see systems, not just tasks, instinctively working to improve them
  • The ability to take a messy, ambiguous problem, understand it deeply, and explain it back clearly and simply, plus the technical and operational chops to build the fix yourself

Nice To Haves

  • Time at high-growth technology companies
  • Familiarity with pipeline measurement, marketing attribution, and lead funnel operations
  • Working knowledge of SQL or business intelligence tooling
  • Hands-on experience building in Braze, including custom attributes and campaign QA.
  • Experience with Asana and Airtable, specifically using them to manage campaign intake and tracking
  • Have redesigned how a team communicates internally, whether meeting structure, messaging norms, or information flow
  • Healthcare, benefits, or other regulated-industry marketing experience

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the systems, tools, and processes that let the rest of the team move faster and with fewer errors, including the campaign calendar, QA and documentation, and reporting
  • Architect bespoke tools that removes manual work entirely rather than just organizing it
  • Act as a "go-to" resource for a wide range of requests related to improving processes across the team
  • Own the team's annual and quarterly planning process: setting the cadence, keeping goals current, and holding the team accountable to them
  • Set data standards across campaigns, including naming conventions and tagging, so performance is comparable across campaigns instead of every campaign getting analyzed its own way
  • Own weekly reporting across channels and accounts
  • Identify and understand gaps in existing processes and tools, and implement fixes
  • Own the contracts and budget for the marketing tech stack, tracking renewals, evaluating new tools, and working with finance on forecasting
  • Work cross-functionally with some of our closest collaborators - including product, engineering and client services, to support projects that drive revenue and patient impact

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits
  • 401k match
  • Monthly phone and wifi stipend for employees, annual ergonomic stipend
  • Generous vacation policy, paid holidays and company-wide recharge days
  • Equal paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents
  • Free cancer screening and prevention resources for employees and their adult dependents
