About The Position

Rho is seeking a Growth Engineer to establish Rho as the premier answer for startup and business banking across search engines and AI platforms. This role involves hands-on coding to enhance an existing agentic SEO/AEO system, making it faster, more reliable, and autonomous. The engineer will be responsible for improving AI visibility, search rankings, and organic signups, ultimately driving funded accounts. The initial six months will focus on AI and search engine optimization, after which the engineer will apply their skills to new growth challenges. This is a building role where the engineer will directly ship production code and page changes, not just spec them out. Success will be measured by AI citation share, keyword rankings, organic signups, and funded accounts from organic sources.

Requirements

Strong generalist engineering background with the ability to own a system from data pipeline to production changes and alerting.
Deep and current knowledge of technical SEO and an understanding of how AI answer engines select and cite sources.
Proficiency with SEO toolchains (e.g., Ahrefs, Google Search Console, rank-tracking APIs) and AI visibility platforms (e.g., Profound).
Experience building LLM or agentic content pipelines that have been deployed to production with human and compliance review gates.
Comfort working within a regulated business environment, adhering to exact disclosures, verified claims, and compliance review processes.
Rigorous approach to monitoring and alerting to proactively identify issues.
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and adapt to new growth challenges.

Responsibilities

Monitor AI visibility, citations, and sentiment across all tracked topics using AEO/SEO dashboards, and implement fixes for weekly changes.
Manage the weekly operating rhythm, including competitor intelligence updates, AI-citation position sweeps by keyword with shipped fixes, and a weekly SEO/AEO scorecard.
Directly implement on-page optimizations, structured data, internal linking, and new pages on rho.co via the CMS and codebase, with high-value pages undergoing review.
Oversee and expand the multi-agent content pipeline, which includes research, drafting, specialist review, compliance checks, and marketing sign-off for new articles and product page updates.
Maintain the source-of-truth for claims and competitor information that all content is verified against, ensuring accuracy of product facts and competitor claims.
Monitor technical SEO and AEO health, including crawlability, indexing, AI crawler access, site performance, and regressions, using alerts to proactively identify issues.
Develop a measurement system to link search and AI visibility to signups, funded accounts, and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) for each product line.
Lead a comprehensive push for incorporation services, focusing on clusters, pages, and comparisons that dominate the category.
Ensure all systems have monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for autonomous operation.
