About The Position

We are looking for a hybrid Growth Designer & Video Editor (contract) to serve as the creative heartbeat of our performance & growth marketing machine. This is not a "brand maintenance" role; you will be responsible for building high-performing, direct-response assets that stop the scroll and drive conversion across distinct platforms incl. Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Reddit. The Performance & Growth Marketing team at 23andMe is the engine that drives our customer acquisition across all digital touchpoints. We operate at a high velocity, managing a multi-million dollar annual budget to bring our DNA insights, from ancestry to health insights, to millions of new customers. We believe that behind every data point is a human being, and our creative should reflect that same blend of scientific rigor and human connection.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing for performance marketing teams or agencies. You understand that "good design" is design that converts.
  • Mastery of Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Proficiency in mobile-first editing tools (like CapCut) is a major plus for social-native content.
  • Strong motion graphics and video editing skills. You can take raw influencer footage and turn it into a high-energy, narrative-driven ad in hours, not days.
  • You aren't afraid of a Meta or TikTok dashboard. You can look at performance metrics and translate them into creative solutions.
  • Experience managing creative volume for high velocity accounts spending $250k+ per month. You thrive in a high-cadence environment where we prioritize "speed to signal."
  • You are a self-starter who can take a brief and run with it, providing multiple creative directions and variations with minimal hand-holding.
  • Experience working within highly regulated industries (FinTech, Health, Biotech).
  • A link to your portfolio or reel is required, specifically highlighting "Performance Creative" or ads that drove measurable business results.

Responsibilities

  • Design and edit high-volume static, motion, and video assets for Paid Media and owned & operated channels such as our e-commerce website, Email, Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Amazon, TikTok, and Influencers, among others.
  • Analyze weekly performance data (CTR, video completion rates, CPA, and ROAS) to rapidly iterate on winning creative. You will take a "winning" YouTube ad and version it into 10 different hooks for TikTok or 5 static carousels for Instagram.
  • Develop content that feels native to each environment, from lo-fi, high-trust UGC-style edits for TikTok to high-authority, polished motion graphics for YouTube and LinkedIn.
  • Collaborate on the annual demand gen roadmap by developing bold visual hypotheses. You will be responsible for creating a library of high-impact scroll-stoppers, art directions, and asset hierarchies designed to find our next performance "control" through rigorous A/B testing.
  • Deliver a minimum of 20–30 creative variants per month to feed a high-velocity experimentation roadmap.
  • Leverage AI design and video tools to scale asset production and localization without sacrificing quality.
  • Design high-converting landing page layouts and web assets that align with our paid traffic funnels to ensure a seamless click-to-purchase journey.
