About The Position

Viktor is the AI teammate that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools, and does real work for real companies in finance, marketing, ops, and engineering. We're building the product that replaces half the SaaS stack. The team is small, but the scope is not. This role is for our first Growth Analytics Engineer, reporting directly to the co-founders. You will own the truth by writing SQL, building pipelines, and shipping the dashboards that others rely on. You will proactively identify and answer key business questions, rather than waiting to be told what to investigate. This role is an equal blend of engineering and analysis, with a strong emphasis on shipping impactful work.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL with pragmatic approach to complex queries.
  • Proficiency in Python for ETL and orchestration using tools like dbt, Dagster, Airflow, or similar.
  • Familiarity with columnar warehouses such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Experience building BI layers from scratch using tools like Hex, Metabase, or Looker.
  • Product mindset: proactive, challenges assumptions, and biases toward action.
  • Founder mentality: experience building a function from the ground up.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ClickHouse.
  • Early-stage startup experience (company size under 30 people).
  • Familiarity with Stripe and SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, NDR, LTV).
  • Experience helping to close the books.
  • Background in ML or forecasting.
  • Experience replacing founders' self-service data pulling habits.

Responsibilities

  • Own the ClickHouse warehouse end-to-end, including schema, ingestion, backfills, and performance.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for production Postgres, Stripe, Slack, ad platforms, and future integrations.
  • Run the BI layer, building, maintaining, and pruning Hex dashboards for growth, finance, support, and product teams.
  • Proactively answer critical business questions such as retention cohorts, credit and unit economics, channel attribution, churn, and pricing impact.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify metric deviations.
  • Collaborate with co-founders and leaders across the company, scoping, prioritizing, shipping fast, and challenging assumptions.
