This is a working-training program where you will learn how to produce quality crops, meet targeted crop schedules, and process orders of finished crops. You will gain knowledge about the cultural requirements of growing perennials and ground cover crops in both indoor and outdoor greenhouse settings, as well as learn watering, fertilizing, and pesticide application processes. Upon successful completion of the training program, you will be responsible for watering and fertilizer applications, pesticide applications, scouting plant material, determining plant maintenance needs, performing daily plant care, maintaining plant quality and production levels, reporting and analyzing crop loss, recording and evaluating plant performance, and performing order processing of finished crops. Continuous learning about cultural practices and techniques is also a key aspect of the role.
