About The Position

As a Group Therapist for TaraVista in Devens, Massachusetts, you will bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. A Group Therapist is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team. You will provide direct care and support to our patients and help guide decisions that impact the lives of your peers, your patients, and your community. Joining our Group Therapy team as a per diem member will open the door to future full-time positions, especially as The Vistas begin to open intensive outpatient programming in the area. You provide and coordinate clinical programming to behavioral health patients in an acute inpatient setting, with opportunities to work on adult, adolescent or child units as well as with a variety of diagnostic presentations. You utilize Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing throughout the group program curriculum. You work with the hospital's Director of Social Work as well as unit leadership to develop appropriate group topics and coordinate group schedules. You are responsible for leading groups on all units. You will be an active member of the treatment team, participate in treatment team meetings, and will engage with other members as required for good patient care.

Requirements

  • Clinical Master’s degree in a related field required.
  • Advanced level knowledge and experience in leading groups in a behavioral health setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with group leadership, Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Demonstrate competency in the areas listed and possess the knowledge base, skill and ability to work in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record including Medsphere/Vista.

Nice To Haves

  • License is preferred (LMHC, LICSW, OT or comparable can be considered).

Responsibilities
