About The Position

Join us as a Group Therapist! Full Time 40 Hours Day Shift As a Group Therapist for MiraVista in Holyoke, Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. A Group Therapist is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team. You will provide direct care and support not only to our patients but also their families and make decisions that impact the lives of your peers, your patients, and your community. In exchange, we will care for you, as much as you care for our patients. Full Time - Days As a Group Therapist: You will provide and coordinate clinical programming to adult behavioral health/co-occurring addiction patients in an acute inpatient setting. You utilize Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing throughout the group program curriculum You work with clinical to develop appropriate group topics and coordinate group schedules You are responsible for leading groups on all units You will be an active member of the treatment team, participate in treatment team meetings, and will engage with other members as required for good patient care

Requirements

  • Clinical Master’s degree in a related field required.
  • License preferred (LMHC, LICSW, OT or comparable can be considered).
  • Advanced level knowledge and experience in leading groups in a behavioral health setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with group leadership, Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Demonstrate competency in the areas listed and possess the knowledge base, skill and ability to work in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record including Medsphere/Vista.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and coordinate clinical programming to adult behavioral health/co-occurring addiction patients in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Utilize Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing throughout the group program curriculum.
  • Work with clinical staff to develop appropriate group topics and coordinate group schedules.
  • Lead groups on all units.
  • Be an active member of the treatment team, participate in treatment team meetings, and engage with other members as required for good patient care.
